One Piece Crimp Coupling: DIN 24º Metric Heavy Male. Size Range M16x1.5" to M42x2.0"
End 1 = Hose. End 2 = Metric Heavy Female (Swivel).
Continental fittings are constructed from a single piece of steel without brazed or welded joints to provide ultimate protection against leaks and potential leak paths. With full-length crimps and a low-profile design that will last longer, the interlocking Bite-to-Wire technology delivers maximum coupling retention for safer assembly and reliability under the toughest pressure — no internal or external skive required.
B2 Couplings suit the following Continental hoses:
SR1SN, DR1SN, SFS, SR2SN, DR2SN, LR2SN, LR16SC, LCP3, SR16SC, DR16SC, XR16SC, SCP3, ACP3, XCP3, XCP4, SR12, ARC12, ARC16SC and Hot Oiler C.
DIN 24º Metric
Identification: Both male and female have straight metric threads. The male has a 24º seat and a recessed counter bore that matches the tube OD used with it. The female can be any of three styles including a 24º cone with an O-ring, a metric tube fitting, or a universal 24º or 60º cone. Use a 12º gauge to measure seat angle as the dimension is taken from the fitting centerline.
Seal: Sealing takes place between the 24º seat in the male end and the respective sealing area in the female end. mechanically.
Comments: There is a light and heavy version of this coupling. Proper identification is made by measuring the thread size and tube OD. The heavy-duty version has a smaller tube OD than the light-duty version, but it has a thicker wall section.
