One Piece Crimp Coupling: BSPT Male. Size Range 1/2" to 1".
End 1 = Hose. End 2 = BSPT Male.
Continental fittings are constructed from a single piece of steel without brazed or welded joints to provide ultimate protection against leaks and potential leak paths. With full-length crimps and a low-profile design that will last longer, the interlocking Bite-to-Wire technology delivers maximum coupling retention for safer assembly and reliability under the toughest pressure — no internal or external skive required.
SG Couplings suit the following Continental hoses:
SR12 SAE 100R12 EN 856 R12 | SAE 100R15 EN 857 4SP | SR13 SAE 100R13 EN 856 R13 | XCP3S SAE 100R12 | SR15 SAE 100R15 | XCP4S SAE 100R12 | XCP5S SAE 100R13 | XCP6S SAE 100R15.
BSPP
Identification: The British Standard Pipe Parallel would be similar to the NPSM fitting. BSP threads are also known as Whitworth threads.
Seal: The BSPP male will connect with the BSPP female or female port. Both male and female have a straight thread and 30º seat and chamfer. The seal takes place by compression of the 30º seat on the chamfer. The threads hold the connection mechanically.
Comments: The BSPP fitting, although similar to the NPSM fitting, is not interchangeable. The thread pitch is different in most cases and the thread angle is 55º for the BSPP, as opposed to the 60º found on NPSM threads.
